Under the direction of Susan Foster an Oklahoma State Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator, Elephant Rock provides the basic and not so basic essentials such as food, water, shelter and habitat for the animals. Susan's vast experience with wildlife rehab is rivaled only by her uncommon ability to connect with animals.
Although Susan has provided wildlife rehabiliation services for many years we are just now adding this element to our website and hope to create a great site to help garner support in our efforts.
What we do !
Elephant Rock takes in orphaned or injured wildlife of most types and provides a safe haven for them to mature or recover from their injuries well enough to be released back into their natural environment. Most rehab efforts are expended on the deer population but many hours and dollars also go into helping raccoons, squirrels, ground hogs and opossums.
The twice daily bottle feeding (sometimes more frequent!) along with "browse" gathering, release and recover, physical and visual inspections and cleanup are daily chores to insure that the animals get a second chance.
